This is a terms planning for a mixed ability class. I swapped lesson 6 to lesson 5, the broad beans took off and I was able to show the students germination. Students gently held the seeds, and discussed the small shoot and the roots, this helped consolidate their learning. The students then re-planted their seeds. I also had the pleasure of leading Forest Schools, students discovered habitats discussed food chains. Seeds should cost no more than a £1 Sunflower & Broad bean. Loved teaching this topic, the students enjoyed the videos, and you will be surprised what the students already know.
